Rib Peeling Rolling Thread Coupler is a mechanical connecting device used to join steel reinforcing bars (rebar) in concrete construction. It connects two rebars by machining straight threads on the rebar ends and fastening them with a coupler.. Its design and manufacturing processes adhere to a suite of international standards, including IOS15835,ACI318,CARES,DCL certificates.
Size: from 16mm to 40mm
Meet the requirements of steel bars: HRB500/B500B/SD600/ASTM 75
Material: 40CR/S45C
High connection strength: The joint strength is equal to or greater than that of the steel bar material, with stable tensile, compressive and seismic performance, far exceeding that of binding and welding.
Fast construction speed: On-site connection can be completed simply by tightening the connector, without the need for welding or binding, resulting in high efficiency and shorter construction periods.
Stable and reliable quality: Thread processing is standardized and can be visually inspected, making it less prone to missed or incorrect inspections, and quality is easy to control.
Wide application range: It can connect steel bars of different diameters and in different directions, and is applicable for horizontal, vertical and inclined connections.
Steel saving: No lap length is required, significantly reducing the amount of steel used and lowering costs.
All-Weather Adaptability: No dependence on power supply, welding equipment and special environment, not affected by temperature, humidity, rainy and windy weather, supporting normal construction in various harsh working conditions.
Vertical components (preferred and most commonly used): Main reinforcement of columns. Vertical reinforcement of shear walls. Reinforcement of stair columns and construction columns. Characteristics: The vertical reinforcement is the easiest to be spliced, with good quality and most favored by workers.
Key horizontal force-bearing parts: Main reinforcement of beams (top and bottom longitudinal bars). Foundation beams and frame beams. Large-diameter force-bearing bars in slabs
Key seismic parts: Core area of frame joints. Reinforcement at beam-column joints and transfer floors. High-intensity areas, high-rise and super high-rise buildings
Large-diameter reinforcement (≥22mm, highly recommended): Reinforcement bars with diameters of 22, 25, 28, 32 and above. Codes and designs usually do not recommend lap splicing for large-diameter reinforcement. Straight thread coupler are the best solution.
Other key parts: Main reinforcement of foundation slabs and caps. Splicing of main reinforcement in pile foundations. Reinforcement connection in prefabricated components
A: It is a mechanical rebar splice adopting integrated rib peeling + cold rolling thread process. It strips rebar transverse & longitudinal ribs first, then rolls standard parallel straight threads, achieving equal-strength rigid connection between rebars, replacing traditional welding and lap splicing.
A: Rib peeling removes surface ribs completely for uniform thread forming, no false threads, stable tensile performance, lower raw material loss, lighter weight, faster on-site threading processing and better interchangeability.
A: Yes. All joints achieve tensile strength ≥100% base rebar strength, even up to 125% specified yield strength, fully meet ISO 15835, ACI 318, CARES, JGJ107 seismic construction standards.
A: Fits HRB335, HRB400, HRB500 deformed steel bars, covers 12mm–40mm. We supply standard, positive-negative thread, reducing transition couplers for different diameter rebar connection.
A: Made of 45# annealed carbon steel with black oxide anti-rust treatment. Optional epoxy coating for coastal, hydropower and high-humidity environments, anti-corrosion and anti-fatigue for long-term structural load.
